Site Approach
Upon arrival on site our test engineer will introduce himself to the client’s representative, sign your visitors register and explain the purpose and nature of the work to be carried out.
We ask that your representative inform the engineer of your safety policies, fire evacuation point and any other safety measures you have in place.
The company representative will then be asked to accompany the test engineer around the site, pointing out any sensitive or high-risk areas.
The engineer will discuss test procedures in order to limit disruption to staff or customers. Please point out any special requests, for example arrangements that have been made for shutting down any IT workstations.
We will ask you to identify any computers that cannot be shut down. (These will be visually tested only)
Reflective jackets will be worn in any high risk outside areas.

The inspection and testing shall be carried out in accordance with :

IEE Code of Practice for the in service Inspection and Testing of Portable
Electrical Equipment
Identification of equipment
Every piece of electrical equipment will be allocated a reference number.
This will be used to cross reference test results on the final result sheet supplied.
A register of equipment will then be produced to include the following details:
Asset number and location
Description of appliance
Date of test and retest date
Results of Testing Procedures
